The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and number of its supported projects is participating in the China Import and Export Fair (Canton 2014), being held in Guangzhou City, China.
The Khalifa Fund’s participating comes in association with Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Ministry of Economy.
The exhibition, which began its activities on Wednesday, presents a wide range of electronic devices, electrical products, computers, communication products, household electrical appliances, lighting equipment, construction and decoration, building materials, bicycles, motorcycles, auto parts, vehicles, small machinery, machinery and large equipment, construction machinery, tools, health products, chemical products, machinery and equipment, building materials and appliances, industrial raw materials and others.
“The Khalifa Fund is working to prepare a suitable environment for the success and development of its supported projects. It works to adopt lots of facilities, services and direct or indirect support mechanisms for them. One of the most important elements of support is to facilitate their access to the local, regional and international market. The Fund participation this year has increased significantly because many members are interested in participating,” said Saeed Abdullah Al Darmaki, CEO of the Khalifa Fund.
“The fund aims by this participation in such international event to give a chance for our applicants to be exposed to others’ experiences as well as its importance to open doors for export and to access the external market. The Khalifa Fund delegation consist of 26 projects funded or supported by the Fund. Those projects include the food and packing industry, architecture and information technology companies,” added Al Darmaki.
“Participation in international fairs is an essential part of the fund’s strategy in supporting Emiratis business’ skills, which is a reflection of the government vision to not only fund the projects but also assist in exposinmg them to other markets. That will assist in the expansion of those projects which will lead to variety of economic actives in the country and will increase competitiveness by signing contracts with international companies,” the CEO explained.
The Khalifa Fund will organise a number of visits and delegations to regional and international fairs in the coming year in association with other government entities in the U.A.E..
