Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has appointed Emirati national, Captain Majed Al Marzouqi, as its new Vice President for Corporate Safety and Quality.
Capt. Majed joined Etihad Airways in 2010 as an A330 pilot, later moving to the airline’s safety department where he has held a number of senior roles, including Senior Manager Flight Safety and Head of Safety Performance.
In his new role, Capt. Majed will be responsible for the overall performance of the Safety and Quality Management systems, including the management of safety risks related to aircraft operations as well as occupational health and safety. He takes over the role from Capt. Paolo La Cava, who has joined the management team of Etihad Airways’ strategic partner, Alitalia.
