Over twenty U.A.E. nationals (Youth Ambassadors) from four leading universities in Abu Dhabi visited U.A.E.’s first petrochemical plant in China, Borouge’s Compounding Manufacturing Plant (CMP) in Shanghai.
The Youth delegation led by Mohammed Al Kaabi from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the United Arab Emirates, was welcomed by Vincent Ong, Borouge’s Asia North Senior Vice President, Berg Chen, CMP Operations Manager and Obaid Ismaeel Al Ali, Sales Manager for Pipe.
The delegation was introduced to Borouge and its mobility business as well as the production of the CMP before going on tour in the plant and Application Centre. During the trip, the students were familiarised with the production processes for compounding of polypropylene targeted for the automotive market.
“Borouge is one of the companies that contribute to the development of the Abu Dhabi economy and this visit reflects our commitment towards the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. Human development is our driving objective and driving motivation behind such initiatives,” said Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri, SVP, Corporate Affairs.
“We hope that in addition to applied learning, the students have gained an in-depth understanding of the business and science of plastic compounds, and an appreciation of Borouge’s global strategy.” said Vincent Ong, Senior Vice President Asia North.
The CPC facilitates the relation between the Crown Prince and U.A.E. nationals through general correspondence, considering individual concerns and identifying solutions and managing the public affairs of the Crown Prince including his involvement in corporate and philanthropic projects.
