The Arab Planning Institute launched Sunday a specialized training course on “Economic Diplomacy” for Arab diplomats and trade attachés.
“The course is meant to enhance diplomats’ skills in strengthening economic and commercial relations between their countries and other world countries,” The API’s Undersecretary Dr. Hussein Al-Talafah said in the opening speech.
He added that the course will also train the diplomats how to promote national products, attract foreign investments and serve the economic and development policies of their countries.
The course includes a number of lectures and visits to several Kuwait-based Arab and Kuwaiti economic institutions, Al-Talafah disclosed, adding that the trainees include diplomats from Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen and Tunisia.
