INDEX, the largest and longest running collection of interior products for trade buyers in the Middle East is delighted to confirm its return in 2021, with its 30thedition. Visitor registrations are now open for the event, which will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, from 31st May – 2nd June 2021, in-person. This exciting announcement allows the interiors industry to meet once again, and points to a positive new chapter for both INDEX and the regional design community after a highly challenging period.

INDEX has enjoyed long-term success as the leading platform that connects architects, designers, buyers, developers and distributors with local and international furniture, lighting, décor and surface material brands, trend-setting start-ups and the biggest international names in the interior furnishings and fit-out scene for every type of project. The first show of its kind to take place in close to two years globally, this show will allow thousands of attendees and exhibitors the chance to interact safely in a face-to-face setting, gaining valuable news, insights and access to the latest industry developments. The announcement comes after the successful hosting of large-scale trade shows, GITEX Technology Week and Gulfood in recent months, both hosted in Dubai World Trade Centre, a venue which has been awarded Venue Safe COVID certification. The event will be operated under world-class event health and safety operating procedures, implementing the dmg events All Secure COVID-19protocol.

Visitors can expect to find a show unlike previous editions, with ample social-distancing and with new seminars, experiences and opportunities to network and re-connect after a long pause. INDEX is supported by the great and the good of the global and regional design scene, welcoming Cosentino, DuPont Corian, Eichholtz, EMKAY, GEBERIT, Presto, Shure , Scientechnic, and VitrA alongside hundreds of other regional and international brands, designers and manufacturers.

For Samer Moukalled, Vice President of Scientechnic Lighting Solutions, this will be the first time participating in INDEX. He said “Lighting is the secret ingredient in adding character to a space, yet its magic is often overlooked. As a leading Lighting Solutions provider of this region, Scientechnic Lighting Solutions had to come onboard with the INDEX Design Awards and The Lightbox Forum at the INDEX Exhibition this year. INDEX has long been a platform for the thriving Middle East interiors market, and is an excellent platform for likeminded professionals in this ever expanding industry to interact!”

Katie McBride, INDEX Event Director said, “We are delighted that INDEX will return this year. Now more than ever, the industry needs a platform from which to connect, and we are ready to allow our community the chance to finally meet in a controlled and safe environment, to showcase their innovations and successes from the past 24 months and to discuss how the market has evolved during the COVID-19 era. We are very much a visual and physical sector and also thrive in challenging conditions. As such, INDEX is perfectly timed to allow us to keep up with the fast-paced nature of the GCC’s rapid development goals. We are confident that all who visit us in 2021 will gain rich inspiration and leave furnished with new ideas, products and contacts.

INDEX 2021 will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (Dubai, UAE), co-located with The Hotel Show, Workspace and The Leisure Show, offering increased value with access to all shows with a single entrance badge. The 30th edition will take place on 31stMay (11am – 7pm), 1st June (11am – 7pm) and 2nd June  (11am – 5pm). For more information, visit:  www.indexexhibition.com
