The trade mission, which is led by Hisham Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice Chairman, Dubai Chamber, will include top officials of leading shipbuilding, machinery and marine technology companies who will get to exhibit their company portfolio as well as the opportunity to liaise with global maritime business leaders at the special Dubai Chamber national pavilion at the Messe Congress exhibition centre.
With over 2,000 exhibitors and more than 50,000 trade visitors from all over the world, the SMM international maritime trade fair is the leading event for the industry, and is an ideal platform to see innovations in the maritime sector.
The objective behind the trade mission is to strengthen Dubai’s image as a key maritime hub and business destination, to support the overseas expansion of U.A.E. companies, and to gain insight into recent trends impacting the marine industries.
The trade mission also offers excellent opportunity for Dubai delegation to network and discuss potential business synergies with leaders in Hamburg’s thriving maritime sector while allowing Dubai Chamber to consolidate its strategic ties with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
The 26th SMM Hamburg will include five seminars and congresses starting on September 8 and concluding on September 12. It includes Finance Day: Ship Finance Forum; Environmental Protection Day: Global Maritime Environmental Congress (GMEC); Security and Defence Day: International Conference on Maritime Security and Defence (MS&D); and Offshore Day: SMM Offshore Dialogue as well as an open discussion on Hamburg and Dubai – Potentials for Maritime Cooperation on the concluding day.
