MD & CEO of DEWA receives delegation from US-based Navigant Consulting

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has received a delegation from the US-based Navigant Consulting.

The delegation included Jan Vrins, Managing Director of Navigant Global Energy, Ian Smyth, Managing Director of Navigant – Europe and Middle East, and Shannon Graham, Director of the Energy Sector in Dubai. Also present was Dan Byles, British Member of Parliament and member of the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee.

The meeting was attended by Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at DEWA. Al Tayer welcomed the delegation, emphasising the importance of strengthening cooperation with partners in renewable energy and research and development.

He noted that DEWA enhances mutual work with its all its partners to support the Dubai strategic plan and ensure the highest standards of excellence in the services DEWA provides to its partners and customers.

Al Tayer highlighted that DEWA welcomes reputable consultancies that are experienced in renewable energy. He commended the seminar Navigant organised recently in cooperation with DEWA under the theme ‘Making Smart Cities a Reality’.

The seminar, which was attended by Byles, highlighted the smart city concept, its applications, and the role of the government sector in promoting investments to implement projects that build and develop sustainable smart cities.

At the end of the meeting, the Navigant delegation thanked Al Tayer for the warm welcome and for the opportunity to discuss new business opportunities with DEWA.
