Qatar Electricity and Water Company disclosed Sunday its financial statement for the year 2014. It achieved profits worth QR1.530 billion, an 11% increase compared to 2013.
HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada attended the meeting where the board of directors discussed Kahramaa’s financial performance and announced the results for 2014. The board agreed to distribute QR825 of the profits, the equivalent of QR7.5 per share. Last year the company distributed QR750 million.
During the meeting, the board discussed the latest developments of their current plans, including the Abu Funtas project. They also discussed the company’s investments in the GCC area. Additionally, the board approved an agreement with Qatar Petroleum on producing energy using solar energy.
