HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada participated in the Tenth Arab Energy Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), which began on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, under the title “current developments in the oil and natural gas market and their impact on the Arab energy sector”.
HE Dr Al-Sada delivered a speech during the first session of the conference that discussed the different aspects of energy situation in view of the current developments in the oil and natural gas market and their impact on the Arab energy sector, and investment necessary to develop the energy sector in the Arab countries, as well as the issues of energy, environment and sustainable development.
The conference also discussed topics related to Arab and international energy sources, and energy consumption in the Arab countries and the possibilities of rationalization, and electrical interconnection between the Arab countries, in addition to technological developments and their impact on the energy sector in the Arabic countries.
HE Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada chaired Qatar’s delegation in the presence of HE Ambassador of Qatar to the United Arab Emirates Fares bin Rumi Al Nuaimi, and a number of officials.
