Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, Empower, has announced a trade exhibition to be held alongside the 6th IDEA International District Cooling Conference 2014.
The event is organised by the International District Energy Association, IDEA, and hosted by Empower, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airlines and Group.
The exhibition will feature 32 companies from around the world at Jumeriah Beach Hotel, creating valuable networking opportunities.
Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, said, “We are offering a unique opportunity for all stakeholders in the district cooling and related industries to gather under one roof through this exhibition. Vendors, manufacturers, suppliers, business partners and district cooling key players will showcase products and services to high-profile visitors from across the globe.” According to him, previous IDEA events attracted participants from more than 35 countries and this year’s event is expected to be even bigger in scale and number of participants, in view of the fact that the UAE tops the Middle East region in District Cooling, DC, services.
He added, “IDEA is once again offering an opportunity to review best in class services in DC with a focus on the Middle East region’s experience in this field, including world-class techniques that could be applied anywhere in the world.” “Empower is extending its full support to this edition of IDEA Conference and Exhibition driven by its global role in the district cooling industry. We are expecting the 6th edition to be one of the best in terms of organisation and range of topics taken up for discussion.” Under the theme of ‘Cleaner Energy, Greener Cities’, the conference and its companion exhibition will showcase efficient, sustainable and reliable energy services and solutions to specifically support DC operations while reducing emissions and pressure on national grids.
