Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has awarded a AED65 million contract for a project that will increase the reliability of its water networks in different parts of Dubai.
The project, slated to be completed by June 2016, involves the supply, installation and commissioning of surge protection devices for DEWA’s pumping station in areas such as Jebel Ali, Mushrif, and Hatta.
“DEWA seeks to increase the productivity, operational efficiency and reliability of its water supply networks in all parts of Dubai as part of its efforts to advance sustainable development. The project assures the provision of uninterrupted water supply to support the current and future development needs of Dubai,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
The project is one of various development projects to raise efficiency and operational capacity of DEWA water supply networks.
