ADNOC Distribution has successfully hosted this year’s edition of the IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) Workshop, drawing the participation of 32 aviation inspectors from multiple international airlines, as well as internal aviation operations staff.
The workshop, held at the company’s training facility at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, validated ADNOC Distribution’s success in hosting the workshop for three consecutive years. ADNOC Distribution is the only authorised IATA training centre in the region and one of the four accredited centres worldwide.
The workshop provided significant training opportunities on effective ways to evaluate fuel quality for maintaining the performance and safety of fuel depots at airports. Senior representations from ADNOC Distribution also provided an overview of the operational procedures at the workshop.
ADNOC Distribution also marked an emphatic participation in the three-day IATA Fuel Forum that opened on November 18th at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai. The industry event drew the participation of senior management from the aviation sales and operations divisions of ADNOC Distribution.
The bi-annual IATA Aviation Forum is a premier industry platform that facilitates opportunities for the world’s aviation fuel community to develop synergies and share best practices through open debates and round table discussions.
Airline representatives, fuel suppliers and IATA’s strategic partners discuss priority areas for the industry and agree on action plans to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, Chief Executive Officer at ADNOC Distribution, said, “The IATA Forum is a landmark industry event and we were privileged to participate in the recently concluded edition as gold sponsors. Within our diversified energy offering, aviation products and services make up an integral part of ADNOC Distribution’s strategic portfolio. In response to growing demand, we have recently expanded our resources and deployed specialised teams at our two dedicated divisions – Aviation Sales and Aviation Operations. Events such as the IATA Forum allow us to showcase our offerings and build strong stakeholder relationships with our customers, partners and the industry at large.” ADNOC Distribution was selected as partner and member of IATA and associate member of Joint Inspection Group in 2011.
