ADNOC Distribution hosted a special gathering to recognise a batch of UAE national trainees for the successful completion of their career development programmes within various departments of the company.
Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, attended the event, hosted at the Ritz Carlton in Abu Dhabi.
The programme provided the employees with on-the-job training and focused on equipping them with professional skill-sets through specially designed courses on Business Core Competencies, Heath, Security and Environment Core Competencies, Personal Core Competencies and Job Related Competencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri said, “The development of our human capital is a strategic priority for ADNOC Distribution as part of our commitment to achieving the Emiratisation objectives outlined in the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2020. Our national employees are our greatest asset, and we continue to provide them with targeted development opportunities to help them reach their full potential as competent and well-informed industry professionals. I congratulate all the trainees today and wish them continued success in their careers with ADNOC Distribution.” As part of its nationalisation agenda, ADNOC Distribution seeks to place UAE nationals in senior and mid-management levels, as well as in technical and semi-technical positions across departments. To date, the company has achieved 100% nationalisation within its top management and 70% within the aircraft fueling stations. The company is working to achieve its overall target of 75% nationalisation across the board by 2017.
Within its ongoing pursuit to provide world-class services, ADNOC Distribution is committed to empowering its employees with the latest knowledge and skill-sets to stay abreast of industry developments. As a key component of this agenda, the recently launched ‘Smart Services’ programme aims to develop ADNOC Distribution’s service infrastructure within the UAE Government’s framework to shape a smart government and smart cities.
