Crate and Barrel’s Fall 2020 collection is influenced by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the Modern Prairie designs encourage being at home with nature, embracing it in crafted detail, earthy textures, and wooded views. The furniture collection emphasises warm woods and natural materials, bringing the outdoors in and creating harmony between humanity and the environment. Colours are neutral and rooted in earthy tones, such as browns and warm amber with pops of ochre. With a focus on cane, wood, and leather, items including the Wells leather sofa or Anaise bed demonstrate quality in craft, restraint in ornamentation, and an organic palette of colour and materials.

For a more poetic and serene atmosphere, the Urban Retreat theme provides luxury in the details. Dwellers can sink into soft textures, colour-washed hues, sustainable materials, and welcoming silhouettes. Classic elegance gets a fresh face in the curved Rouelle sofa with chenille-like fabric. Meanwhile, an artful tinge meets traditional details among the Ezra Glassware set, perfect for hosting a refined and sophisticated gathering.

Remixing the Art Deco aesthetic of the French Belle Epoque for modern living, the latest season’s collections make a bold statement with a glam twist in the New Deco. Striking black and white contrast and fresh style meet timeless design in the Lecourbe sofa, harkening back to and re-making the familiar Parisian style and sophistication of yesteryear. Specifically catering to small spaces, the New Deco features items such as the Valter accent table, a slender column rising from the floor and slowly flaring out into a round tabletop perfectly sized for a drink, a treat, and a book.
