Construction of Halong Star, Limitless’ joint venture residential and tourism project in Halong Bay, Vietnam, will get underway this year following government approval of a new master plan and construction drawings, the Dubai developer announced yesterday.
Limitless received scale 1/500 approval – a key part of the Vietnamese construction permit process – from authorities in Quang Ninh Province, home of the 200 hectare, US$550 million project. A construction tender will be released shortly. Limitless’ revised proposal for the project include 340 villas and apartments, a five star hotel, retail complex and leisure facilities.
Speaking in Vietnam at a meeting with Quang Ninh officials, Limitless Chairman Ali Rashid Lootah said: “Halong Star is a new, sustainable mixed-use project which will match the needs of the Halong Bay community. Approval of our revised master plan is a major step forward for this project, and we look forward to beginning construction later this year.”
Halong Star will offer stunning views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay on Vietnam’s north-east coast.
