“For the last 10 years, Germany has shown a strong representation featuring a wide range of German expertise in the field of construction. Close to 70 German companies, mostly of the small and medium-sized companies, will offer state-of-the-art technology to the thriving Qatari market ,” said Angelika Storz-Chakarji, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Qatar.

114 products in the fields of building materials, electricity, lighting and air-conditioning, environmental and water technology, stone technology and equipment, stone and stone products and architectural shading structures as well as a number of new innovations will be showcased at this prestigious exhibition. In addition, the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy will be present at the German Pavilion with its own information booth to provide information to visitors.
The German Pavilion is located in the main hall of the QNCC exhibition area featuring with one of the largest exhibiting spaces since 2007. Moreover, ten of the participating German companies have been coming to Qatar regularly since Project Qatar was launched in 2004.
Project Qatar 2014 includes two concurrent events – Qatar StoneTech 2014, The 3rd International Stone & Stone Technology Show and Heavy Max 2014, The 11th International Exhibition for Heavy Machinery, as well as three specialised conferences LightingTech Qatar on May 12 and May 13, HVACTech Qatar on May 14 and May 15 and Future Interiors Qatar that will take place on September 8 and September 9.
This prestigious event endorsed unprecedented support from distinguished guests including high profile dignitaries, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic community, a host of industry and company leaders and key media.
Speakers reinforced Project Qatar’s role as one of the Middle Easts most important exhibitions for construction, sustainability and building materials.
Project Qatar 2014 will also be hosting a new educational platform, the Project Qatar Conference Series, organized by Advanced Conferences & Meetings (ACM).
Project Qatar 2014 will take place at the Qatar National Convention Centre from 12 15 May, 4:00pm 10:00pm. It will feature 24 international pavilions, spread across 41,500 sqm of indoor and outdoor exhibition space, and welcome 2,100+ participating companies from 47 countries. The opening ceremony of Project Qatar 2014 will be held on May 12th under the Auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
With projects such as Barwa City, Barwa Commercial Avenue, Lusail City – to name a few – German construction industry has made an impact in Qatar. German products and services are known to set international high-level standards in quality and reliability.
