Safran Group and the Tawazun Economic Council (TEC) hosted a workshop on Monday at Rosewood Hotel in Abu Dhabi for more than 25 U.A.E. aerospace and defence companies to strengthen relationships between the Safran Group and local industry, paving the way for future collaboration and partnerships.
The workshop was attended by a French delegation from Safran Group and introduced the group to attendees, providing a forum to network and discusses mutual business interests.
Matar Ali Al Romaithi, Chief Officer of the TEC Industrial Development Unit, highlighted the Council’s efforts to align its operations and policies with the vision of the U.A.E. leadership by contributing to economic diversification, sustainability, technology transfer and adding value to the people of the U.A.E..
“The purpose of this workshop is to fulfil our mutual objectives of strengthening the relationship between local and foreign industries, and to introduce new business opportunities for future collaboration and sustainable investments,” he said.
At the event, Safran Group representatives briefed attendees on its business structure, products and core capabilities. The workshop concluded with small breakout sessions where local business leaders introduced their capabilities and discussed areas for future collaboration with Safran Group.
Marc Wippler, offset and industrial cooperation manager at Safran, stated that this very valuable workshop was a strong opportunity made possible by TEC for Safran to meet the matching U.A.E. companies. “This day brought a better understanding between companies and favours the search for further potential areas of collaboration such as business opportunities or development of key capabilities for the mutual benefit of Safran and the U.A.E. local industry,” Wippler said.
