Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has honoured the winners of the second edition of the UAE Drones For Good Awards and the UAE AI and Robotics Award for Good in a ceremony in Dubai.
He stressed that the UAE has become a global hub for innovation and investment in human capabilities to benefit humanity.
He said massive changes and challenges in today’s world impose the need for unifying efforts in employing modern technologies to achieve the one common goal of serving humanity and human welfare.
This, Sheikh Mohammed noted, can only be achieved through innovative and creative initiatives that seek to find solutions to enable man to counter all challenges which have, until recently, blocked human progress and ability to realise dreams and aspirations.
“I am extremely happy to see these elite creative minds and young talents from every part of the world coming together today in our beloved country, the UAE, to share their creative and futuristic ideas and confirm that creativity is limitless and that the human mind cannot be blocked from being creative. I was extremely satisfied to see the Emirati youth, students and innovators competing to stress once again that innovation is an approach embraced by the people of the UAE as a way to leadership and excellence,” he said.
Sheikh Mohammed also stressed that the awards are the UAE’s message of peace and love to the world and reiterate the country’s support for humanity.
He said the awards are only a simple recognition of these minds for their efforts to turn the impossible into the possible by producing applications and AI that help us fulfil our daily needs. “These creative minds deserve all the praise and recognition because they are the real wealth that never runs out.”
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs; Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, and other officials.
