The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) Wednesday signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Euro Petroleum Consultants (EPC) facilitate mutual cooperation, coordination and business relationship.
This step will pave the way for future agreements on certain projects.
The MoU was signed at GOIC’s Doha headquarters by GOIC Secretary General Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Ageel and EPC President Colin Chapman in the presence of representatives from both parties, the GOIC said in a statement.
“By virtue of the MoU, the two sides agreed to cooperate in the areas of marketing, consulting, conferences and training, and to exchange expertise in these fields,” it added.
It noted that the two parties held talks on organizing a number of key events in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, notably the annual Middle East Technology Forum (ME-TECH) and the International Gas Technology Conference (IGTC).
It has been agreed that GOIC will take part in the ME-TECH organized by the EPC in Dubai in February, and that the following conference will take place in Doha and will be co-organized by GOIC and EPC, the statement added.
The Doha-based GOIC is a regional organization whcih includes Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Yemen.
The GOIC is an advisory knowledge-based institution aiming at developing regional industries by providing data, information, specialized researches, consultations and technical services for the public and private sectors in GCC countries.
The EPC was formed in London in 1996 as an independent consultancy with over 35 years’ experience. It is specialized in the industries of oil, gas, and Petrochemical.
