The 2014 Arab Aviation and Media Summit will be organised in Ras Al Khaima under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah, it was announced today.
The event, which is a joint industry initiative by world leading organisations, will take place on 24th September, 2014 at the Hamra Convention Center in Ras Al Khaimah, U.A.E. Running in its fourth edition this year, the AAMS is braced by many organisations such as Air Arabia, Airbus Group, CFM, and The Sultanate of Oman Ministry of Tourism in addition to many supporting partners; and this year’s edition is organised in partnership with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAK TDA).
The theme for the 2014 event is ‘Aviation and Tourism: Common Vision and Purpose’, and will see industry pioneers from across the region come together to discuss the growing significance of the partnerships between tourism and aviation. The Arab Aviation and Media Summit is the largest gathering of Arab media together with top executives from the aviation & tourism industry, providing a platform for insightful discussions on the current trends and challenges faced by the avia-tourism sector in the Arab world and its impact on social and economic growth.
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaimah said, “We are delighted that Ras Al Khaimah has been chosen to host the 4th annual Arab Aviation and Media Summit, which holds great significance to us on both aviation and tourism scales. This step marks a significant step in the growth of our local tourism industry and with this in mind we are highly aware of the importance of fostering relations between the aviation and tourism industries, and we look forward to working with the many partners over the coming months.” This year’s Summit will bring together an array of international and regional industry experts, as well as media representatives from across the entire Arab World to exchange ideas and strategies to address the challenges faced by the sector. Last year, the event drew more than 150 participants and took place in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman.
