Qatar Participates in Customs Meeting in Belgium

The Customs General Authority took part in the 40th Regional Meeting of Directors-General of customs authorities and departments of North Africa and the Near and Middle East, which was held in Brussels and meeting of the World Customs Organization Council, which concluded meetings today.

Qatar’s delegation was led by the Customs General Authority Director General Ahmed bin Ali Al Mohannadi. The meeting discussed matters related to customs work in North Africa and the Near and Middle East, including the report of the regional technical attache at the capacity building department of the World Customs Organization, and adopted each of the the training plan and the regional strategic plan for the years 2014-2015.

The meeting also discussed election of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Assistant-Secretary of the World Customs Organization Council as well as the membership of regional countries at the level of the Organization’s committees and other topics on the agenda.
