Kuwait’s Finance Minister Anas Al-Saleh arrived here Wednesday evening to participate in the 35th session of the ministerial council of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), due to open tomorrow.
The minister was welcomed by Kuwait Ambassador to Qatar Muteb Saleh Al-Mutoteh and Undersecretary of the Qatari Finance Ministry Khalaf bin Ahmad Al-Manaie, as well as other Qatari officials and Kuwaiti diplomatic staff.
The ministerial council, which meets annually, will review accounts, and the annual report of the Fund’s president on the past performance and future plans, as well as the new fiscal year.
The ministers will also approve the budget of the Fund and discuss the Fund’s operations, including the grants provided over the last year.
