H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and also the Chairman of the Emirates Group today received Ajay Banga, President and Chief Executive Officer of MasterCard International Inc and the delegation accompanying him at the Executive Council in Dubai.

Sheikh Ahmed welcomed Banga and the delegation and expressed his pleasure at the visit. He referred to the constructive efforts to achieve the vision of the U.A.E.’s wise leadership in providing an ideal working environment and strengthening the infrastructure, upgrading it to international standards to attract companies and financial institutions for the Emirate of Dubai in particular, and the U.A.E. in general.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments and achievements of the MasterCard International Inc and its future expansion plans for the region. They also reviewed the extent of its commitment to achieve the vision of the Emirate of Dubai and its aspirations to move towards a comprehensively smart government.

On his part, Banga and the accompanying delegation praised the efforts of those involved in the Government of Dubai in creating an attractive environment for investment by providing all facilities to the companies in general.

Banga also expressed his admiration for the tremendous development witnessed by the emirate at all levels and its leading role in the region’s business sector.

A number of senior officials attended the meeting.
