A local facilities management company recently estimated that the global facility management market is to reach $394bn by 2017, while in the next 25 years it is expected to reach the market value of $892bn.
This in turn gives related industries such as cleaning and hygiene companies the potential to grow tremendously. Regional and international service providers of cleaning and hygiene established in the GCC is increasing significantly due to rising scale of construction investment.
The Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) aims to address the growth in the market, the event will be taking place this November 2 to 4 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Jayaraman Nair, chairperson of VIS, the organisers of the event, said: “The facility management industry is very important to Middle East especially in the UAE; with the speedily developing construction industry. Deloitte, a market intelligence firm has estimated the value of the GCC construction industry at $172 billion in 2015 which will significantly drive facility management and its allied industries.”
