Qatar Exchange index gained 233.76 points (1.84%) this week when the bourse closed at 12,961.40 points Thursday.
The trading value of QR 4,088,939,644.10 this week is a decrease by 19.83% compared to QR 5,100,291,233.51 last week.
The trading volume of 110,272,011 shares is a decrease by 17.80% compared to 134,151,810 shares last week while the 44,366 transactions is a drop by 19.02% compared to 54,785 transactions.
The market capitalisation of QR 729,821,676,979.51 is an increase by 0.57% compared to QR 725,688,229,471.90 at the end of previous week.
Industries led the trading value this week accounting for 22.32% of the total traded value. Real estate accounted for 19.82%. Banks and financial services accounted for 19.49%, and telecoms accounted for 12.98%. Real estate topped the traded volume with 27.21% of the total traded volume. Telecoms accounted for 23.66%. Banks and financial services accounted for 14.75%, and transport accounted for 14.53%.
From the 43 listed companies, 30 ended this week higher while 12 fell and one remained unchanged. Vodafone Qatar led traded value this week with 11.64% of the total traded value. Qatar Gas Transport Company accounted for 9.14%. United Development Company accounted for 8.37%.
