To date, a total of 140,000 Kuwaiti families benefited from loans provided by Kuwait Credit Bank, previously Credit and Savings Bank, over a period of 50 years, and the bank is marking the an
niversary which coincides Wednesday with determination to continue to help serve national causes and initiatives in service of all Kuwaiti citizens.
According to data provided by the bank, which is the prime investment tool of the Public Housing Authority, 47,000 Kuwaiti families benefited from bank loans between its establishment and 1990. Since then, there were another 93,000 beneficiary families.
The bank is playing a role of increasing importance at present in view of the ever rising importance of the housing dossier among the state’s priorities, and all state bodies with activities related to this dossier in any way similarly bear increasing responsibility, a press release indicated.
Bank Director General Salah Al-Mudhaf meanwhile in a statement on this occasion said the bank is proud of its involvement in and support of the country’s development and is determined to maintain operation which is consistent with the priorities and views communicated by His Highness the Amir on the housing issue.
