The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone, SAIF ZONE, has announced that Delta Food Industries FZC, a leading food company operating in the zone, will invest AED40 million in expanding its factories over an area of 110,000 square feet.

Delta’s decision comes after the company realised its need to develop operations and increase its food exports to Middle Eastern and African markets, thanks to the impressive success it has achieved in these regions. The expansion works will be completed within 12 months.

The investment contract was signed by Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF ZONE, and Shiraz Osman, Director and founder of Delta Industries, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.

Commenting on the investment contract, Al Mazrouei expressed the authority’s pride in this achievement, which confirms SAIF ZONE ‘s success in its quest to attract investors by providing them with all the facilities and services they need, as well as the authority’s ongoing endeavour to communicate with its investors and assess their requirements to develop their business.

He added, “We are proud of having Delta Industries in the zone because it is one of the leading companies in the field of food manufacturing and packaging, and it has proven in the past three years that it is one of the most successful companies in the canned food sector. Today, Delta Industries confirms once again its success by increasing its investment by AED40 million.” Shiraz Osman commented,” Delta has sought, since its establishment in 2011, to compete with major international companies in the food industry, and consequently it succeeded in building a network of clients in 16 countries to become one of the leading companies in importing and exporting raw materials for the food industry.” Speaking about the new expansion, Osman said, “After it succeeded in producing food products like tomato paste, tomato ketchup and milk powder, Delta Food Industries is planning to open new production lines to produce cream, milk and tea packaging in the new factories.” He said that Delta Food Industries has managed to establish a leading position in the U.A.E. tomato paste, milk powder and food industries with an experienced working team and state-of-the art technology, manufacturing with the highest standards and providing reliable products for its customers. He said that the company now exports 250 food containers every month.
