The State of Qatar concluded its participation in the 15th GCC Joint Exhibition which was held in the UAE under the theme ‘Made in the GCC’ from May 26-30 at the Sharjah Expo Centre.

The Qatari pavilion, held on an area of 1,000 square meters, saw great turnout from visitors as well as participants of the expo that began last Sunday.
Head of the Organizing Committee of the Qatari Pavilion in the 15 GCC Joint Exhibition Abdullah Ali Al Khowaiter said that the pavilion attracted a great number of visitors and participating exhibitors who were briefed on their various products in the industrial and commercial sectors, services among others, adding that this would enhance mutual cooperation between participants from the GCC countries.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Khowaiter hoped that future editions of the exhibition would see more success and a greater participation from Qatari companies both from private and public sectors, underlying the importance of the exhibition in introducing the products and services provided by companies in GCC states as well as the exchange of expertise in various fields.

The biennial exhibition aims at introducing the companies and institutions in the GCC region and targeting ministries and institutions interested in the field of economy and investment in development and vital projects in addition to encouraging business environment as well as highlighting the role of the GCC countries in supporting small and medium enterprises, encouraging innovation and creativity, protecting consumer rights and providing appropriate opportunities for GCC dealer for marketing his products in order to increase the volume of trade exchange between the GCC countries.

It also seeks to introduce investment and trade opportunities offered by the GCC economy to foreign investors and to market electronic services of the business sector.
The exhibition, which features more than 200 exhibitors from the Gulf region, focused on industry, commerce, business, small and medium enterprises, construction, transportation, aviation, renewable energy, tourism, media, agriculture, investment, food security, oil and gas.
