Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh said on Sunday that Cabinet’s decision to revise different kinds of state subsidy aims at rationalizing it and making sure it is given to those who deserve it.
In a press statement, Al-Saleh said that the issue still under study by a special Finance Ministry committee.
He added that the recently circulated media reports on the issue are totally “inaccurate”.
He called on various media outlets to be accurate in their reports on this important issue, particularly with regards to state subsidized services provided to nationals and expatriates.
