Ooredoo received the Best Operator of Communication Services in the Middle East and North Africa award at the awards ceremony of TMT Finance 2014, held in Dubai, thus crowning its achievements in launching its new brand and pushing for innovation in the field of Broadband last year .
Members of the award panel praised Oredoo for implementing a programme for the adoption of its brand on the world’s level. It was adopted in each of Qatar, Tunisia, Algeria and the Maldives last year. They also praised the great success the company has achieved on the level of its strategy for broadband in various regions of its presence in the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia , in addition to the great success of the first version of the instruments issued by Ooredoo worth USD 1.25 billion.
TMT Finance Awards honour the best achievements in terms of mergers, acquisitions, borrowing, leadership and innovation in the telecommunications sector .
A press release issued by the company today quoted the Group’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Nasser Marafih as saying ”getting the award of best telecommunications operator demonstrates the extent of our success in the development of customer service in the various regions of our presence , with the continued implementation of programmes, and with the continued launch of the new brand programmes during 2014, we will continue to develop the capabilities of our data as part of our future vision of the company. “
