Team Bahrain Victorious, UCI WorldTour cycling team, is pleased to announce its partnership with Ultrahuman, the UAE-based, cutting-edge metabolic fitness platform. A strategic collaboration, Bahrain Victorious enthusiastically kicks off the 2023 season, outfitted with Ultrahuman’s interplay of hardware and software.
The UAE-based digital health powerhouse, Ultrahuman, will be equipping the team’s athletes with two innovative products – the Ultrahuman M1, a continuous glucose monitoring platform, and the Ultrahuman Ring, the world’s most advanced metabolism tracker, set to propel the team’s training, performance and recovery to the next level.
Ultrahuman M1 is a unique platform that seamlessly monitors essential biomarkers in the body using state-of-the-art algorithms to give deep metabolic insights, optimizing physical endurance, cognition, and recovery. The M1 sensor, paired with an app, provides the cyclists and coaches with detailed breakdowns of their metabolic health, including insights into blood glucose, insulin sensitivity, free fatty acids, oxidative stress, gut health, blood pressure, triglyceride levels and cholesterol levels – taking sports science to the next level.
The sleek and silent Ultrahuman Ring provides a detailed breakdown of various biomarkers such as heart rate, heart rate variability, temperature, stress, and oxygen saturation, as well as sufficient deep, NREM, and REM sleep, which is vital for the athletes’ resting protocols.
Bahrain Victorious’ coaches can make data-driven decisions in the pro cyclists’ training and competition through remote data analysis and a coaching dashboard. The team’s performance coaches can monitor and plan the athletes’ recovery and movement parameters through powerful bio-insights. Every facet of the pro cyclists training plan is optimized thanks to a holistic overview of their exercise, nutrition, stress and sleep, and respective body responses.
Founder and CEO of Ultrahuman, Mohit Kumar, comments, “Ultrahuman is proud to support and partner with Team Bahrain Victorious with the Ultrahuman M1 and Ultrahuman Ring. The unique interplay of fueling insights along with performance, recovery and sleep protocols will help the pro cyclists go beyond the bonk.”
Bahrain Victorious Managing Director Milan Erzen comments, “We tested the Ultrahuman Ring and M1 biomarkers with our athletes during the winter months and saw incremental results. Thanks to metabolism tracking, our coaches and athletes can better understand what affects their glucose metabolism and how to act on the insights efficiently. Our goal is to optimize our athletes’ fitness, and based on the data from motion and heart rate sensors, we will utilize the lowest effort required to make the most gains on and off the bike.”
With cutting-edge sports science technology, Bahrain Victorious and Ultrahuman are thrilled to tap into the team’s peak performance this 2023 cycling season.
