Resting between the stony Hajar mountains and the crystal turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf, the region’s most loved eco-friendly resort is inviting guests to relish the culinary artistry of international chefs, nostalgic local flavors, and exceptional cuisines from Arabic, Indian, modern European, Southeast Asian and Japanese with a twist.

Under Executive Chef Sébastien Pinson’s direction, culinary excellence is at the heart of the resort, offering assorted flavors and unparalleled experiences.

From authentic Arabian delicacies at the Spice Market or a traditional Bedouin experience on Shua Shack’s beach, a Kaiseki style dinner on Sense on the Edge’s hilltop, or a fulfilling locally sourced three course meal at Summer House, the 82-villa resort is the ideal gastronomic fantasy.

For a Middle Eastern feast, guests can expect local flavors and regional delights at the resort’s Spice Market, engulfed with rustic earthy tones and a serene ambiance. For breakfast and dinner, guests can indulge in an extravagant buffet with the finest local seafood and enchanting mix of wholesome Middle Eastern dishes including signature grills, Lebanese style pizza, hot and cold mezze, and the day’s catch complimented with traditional vegetable stews, served indoors and outdoors.

With a drink in the hand and feet in the sand, Six Senses Zighy Bay’s authentic Bedouin dining experience at Shua Shack’s stretched sandybeach is a family favorite. Guests can start with a selection of traditional hot and cold mezze and organic salads, followed by the aroma of slow-cooked Omani lamb in the resort’s underground sand-pit oven.

Perched on a private terrace and set to a stunning backdrop, the resort’s signature award-winning restaurant sits 293 meters above the azure waters of Zighy Bay, overlooking the magnificent Omani landscape. Serving a Kaiseki style dinner, Sense on the Edge tells the story of Chef Sebastian’s culinary journey and personal travels from land to sea. The family-friendly restaurant draws on French technique yet replicates Asian flavors, where each plate is carefully curated with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients and filled with rich flavors. The “Hotate” offers Kombu curried Muscat scallops blended with sustainable caviar, the “Kinoko” gives the smooth texture of mushrooms and potato mousseline fused with soy and balsamic, while the “Tara” offers roasted sustainable cod imbued with miso glaze and khao mun.

On family nights, the indoor-outdoor set up progresses into a “Kazoku” dinner experience, embodying the love of family with a banquet of Southeast Asian plates with regional ingredients to share including, the grass-fed beef with homegrown vegetables and rice broth, regional seasonal fish caramelized in miso, or the Omani lobster and beef grilled on sustainable coconut charcoal.

Serving classic dishes with a contemporary twist, the resort’s Summer House and Zighy Bar are the ideal place for a pool-side crisp lunch, afternoon delight bites or a fulfilling three-course dinner. Situated on the terrace overlooking an oversized infinity pool, guests can share luscious platters and fresh catch from the local fisherman, or work through Summer Houses’

homemade ice cream and sorbet. Zighy Bar’s classic yet modern alfresco bar serves creative signature cocktails and mocktails along with tasty tapas and light snacks, overlooking the wadi.

An exceptional location for an intimate dinner, the Wine Cellar can host two or as many as eight amongst some of the world’s most diverse varietals. For an intimate experience, the master sommelier hosts regular tastings with succulent cheese and delectable chocolates, taking guests on an aromatic journey with wine pairings.

No other dining experience in the Middle East compares to Destination Dining at Six Senses Zighy Bay. The resort’s diverse menus and outstanding repertoire of cuisines are in line with Eat with Six Senses’ guidelines, which is less is more and encompasses fresh ingredients to offer better support to one’s overall health and immune system.
