Qatar and Morocco Sign Cooperation Agreement on Conservation of Biodiversity and Wildlife Field

The Ministry of Environment and Morocco’s High Commission for Water and Forests and the Fight against Desertification signed here Monday a cooperation agreement on the conservation of biodiversity and wildlife and their habitats.
The agreement was signed by HE the Minister of Environment Ahmed Amer Mohammed Al Hamidi and Moroccan High Commissioner for Water, Forests and Desertification HE Dr. Abdel Azim Al-Hilfi in the presence of HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Qatar Al Makki Kwan and a number of senior officials of the Ministry of Environment .
In his speech at the signing ceremony , HE Al Hamidi attributed development of relations between the two brotherly countries to the wise directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and king of Morocco Mohammed VI and their permanent keenness to boosting them in various fields.
In this context, HE Al Hamidi pointed to the fruitful following-up by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
HE the Minister of Environment expressed his pleasure to work together with Dr. Al-Hilfi to develop the distinguished relations linking the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Morocco , he said “We are aspiring through the signing of this agreement to enhance cooperation efforts between the two countries in order to achieve maximum environmental sustainability and development of natural resources via consultation , the exchange of experiences and development of human resources and exchange of visits between officials of the Ministry of Environment and Morocco’s High Commission for Water and Forests and the Fight against Desertification. ” For his part , HE Dr. Abdel Azim Al-Hilfi , said this agreement is a fruit of improved relations between the two countries under the auspices of HH the Emir and the King of Morocco , he added, by signing this agreement , the two countries had formulated appropriate framework to activate efforts in this vital important area to attain the sustainable development in the two countries.
