Swaziland’s King Mswati III met Monday with a group of Qatari businessmen and private sector representatives from Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) and Qatari Businessmen Association.
The Swazi side presented a number of investment opportunities in the sectors of industry, tourism, food, agriculture and services, QCCI Vice Chairman Mohamed bin Tuwar Al Kuwari said following the meeting.
Some Qatari businessmen expressed their keenness on more details on these opportunities, Al Kuwari added, noting that the presence of an accredited Qatari ambassador in Swaziland will make access to such information more feasible.
Asked about aspects of future cooperation between the two countries, Al Kuwari said Qatar Airways may launch flights to Swaziland, especially after the construction of a new airport in the African country, and Qatari banks might open branches there.
