The UAE government urged all residents to stay in their homes unless “absolutely necessary”.
All malls and markets will be closed in the next 48 hours. Stores selling essential goods including supermarkets and pharmacies will remain open.
Restaurants in the UAE will have to close down all dine-in operations as the country goes delivery only from Wednesday, March 25 for a period of at least two weeks.
All inbound, outbound and transit flights will be suspended in the next 48 hours.
