Emirates Motor Company (EMC), the Mercedes-Benz authorised distributor in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, today rolled-out the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA in Abu Dhabi.
The new model was unveiled at a press conference held at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Abu Dhabi in the presence of Kamal Rafih, General Manager of EMC, Dirk Fetzer, Director of Sales and Marketing at Daimler Middle East and Levant, as well as local media representatives.
Briefing the media, Kamal Rafih said: “The launch of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA within the ‘new generation’ vehicle segment articulates EMC’s priority to target youngsters while catering to the growing demand for crossover SUVs in the UAE. With the launch of this new segment of vehicles, including the CLA four-door coupe, the sporty A-Class, and the all-new GLA now available across our showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, we expect to achieve record sales in the current financial year.”

The four-cylinder GLA is highly manoeuvrable around the city, lively on the open roads beyond the metropolis, and dynamic and efficient on the busy streets and highways. With its highly flexible and superior quality interiors, EMC’s latest offering reinterprets the crossover concept in an innovative and contemporary manner, fitting perfectly into the day-to-day urban lifestyle.
A particularly rigid body structure provides a reliable basis for GLA that has an engine power of 155 kW (211hp). The engine features the ECO start/stop function and complies with the Euro 6 emissions standard.
The model exclusively features a radiator grille with two silver-painted louvres and chrome inserts, as well as a 19-inch five-spoke light-alloy wheels and a twin-pipe exhaust system with chrome-plated tailpipe trim integrated into the bumper.
