Labour Ministry becomes the Fastest-Growing Governmental Facebook Page in UAE

The Ministry of Labour has the fastest-growing governmental Facebook pages in the UAE, claiming over 4900 likes in just one week, according to a survey.

The findings were made in a recent statistics research prepared by Socialbakers, a social media analytics company that provides social media management services and deep data analytics.

Socialbakers has said that the ministry also attained 4th place with highest total number of likes on Facebook when compared to other ministries and other federal agencies at the state level. “The MoL has received more than 188,000 likes since it’s verification by TRA back in 2014,” a release of the ministry stated.

Hussein Al-Alili, Deputy Director of Government Communications Department at the Ministry of Labour, stated that the ministry pursues the directions of Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour, in achieving superb presence within social media channels, as he believes it’s an important communication tool to reach out to customers and inquirers to provide them with excellent services.

“Hitting 1st place as fastest-growing governmental Facebook page confirms that the ministry has worked hard to provide suitable services to its customers and that the Ministry has been effectively moving towards the Smart Govt. transformation,” he said.

Al-Alili pointed out that more than 2,500 inquiries had been answered using the Facebook page during 2014, explaining that the response mechanisms, across all MoL’s social networking platforms, depends on documented data to make sure the information is accurately presented to the public.

Ministry of Labour also runs other social media accounts such as Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
