Foreign investors purchased AED 2.5 bn worth of shares on Dubai Financial Market

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, from January 11 to 15, reached about AED 2.522 billion, while value of stocks they sold stood at AED 2.528 billion, with net foreign investment on the market reaching AED 5.9 million during the period, as aggregate sell.

Value of shares bought by foreigner investors comprised 48.2 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the last five days, while value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period represented 48.4 per cent of stocks traded during the period, a DFM press release said on the market activities over the week.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during the week reached AED 1.17 billion, comprising 22.5 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached AED 1.23 billion, representing 23.5 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

Net institutional investment on the market stood at AED 56.6 million during the period, as an aggregate sell.
