The Deputy CEO of Jafza and Chief Commercial Officer, Ibrahim Mohamed Al Janahi, and the Turkish Consul-General in Dubai, Erdem Ozan, met to review ways of enhancing bilateral trade relations between the two sides.
During the meeting, Al Janahi, while welcoming the Turkish Consul-General and commending the strong, decades-long commercial and cultural relations between the UAE and Turkey, expressed his support for the Turkish Consul-General’s efforts in enhancing trade relations and increasing the presence of Turkish goods in the Middle East through Jafza, which is considered a gateway to the entire region.
Al Janahi also said that he will work with Ozan to strengthen Jafza – Turkey relations, and invited Turkish companies to join Jafza’s trade and logistics centre in an effort to service the fast-growing Middle East markets.
“Turkey’s strategy vision for 2030 is to triple its exports to reach US$500 billion,” said Al Janahi and added, “The Middle East can be a substitute to Europe for the Turkish market, especially since the euro region these days is facing significant economic challenges.” The Jafza Deputy CEO went on to express full support for Turkish company owners in facilitating Jafza services in delivering their products to the region.
Jafza hosts a large number of leading multinational companies and its combined trade volume for 2013 reached $90 billion.
