DEWA awarded Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour by British Safety Council

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has won the Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour from the British Safety Council for excellence in health, safety and environment.

This year, DEWA is one of five organisations worldwide who have been awarded with the Globe of Honour, and for the third consecutive year. It is also one of the 50 organisations worldwide awarded with the Sword of Honour, which DEWA has achieved for the seventh consecutive year.

DEWA is one of only four organisations globally who were awarded with both the Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour.

Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA received the awards at an awards distribution ceremony at the historic Drapers’ Hall in London.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA dedicated the awards to Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

“The vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, have always guided us towards achieving excellence and reaching the number one position globally at all levels. Winning both the Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour demonstrates DEWA’s efforts and strategy to implement the highest standards in health, safety and the environment,” he said.

DEWA’s experienced and qualified staff help it achieve its commitments. We adopt the best international standards and practices in health and safety in our current and future projects, to enhance a safe and healthy work environment to serve our customers, partners, and society as a whole for a sustainable future for generations to come,” added Al Tayer.
