Ashghal Opens C-Ring Road From Jabor Bin Ahmed Intersection to Al Kinana Intersection

The Public Work Authority ‘Ashghal’ today opened a part of the C-Ring Road to traffic, extending from Jabor Bin Ahmed Intersection (Ramada Intersection) to Al Kinana Intersection.
Fully operational to traffic, this stretch of the C-Ring Road was widened from three lanes to four lanes in each direction as part of phase four of the C-Ring Road development project, to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in this area, Ashghal said in a press release issued today.
Currently Ashghal is working on phase four of the C-Ring Road project, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year. As part of this phase, works are taking place on both directions of Salwa Road starting from right after Al Asiri Intersection towards Jabor Bin Ahmed Intersection (Ramada Intersection) and to The Centre Roundabout, which will be converted to a signal-controlled intersection. This phase also includes works on C-Ring Road starting from Ramada Intersection until mid-way before Rawdat Al Khail Intersection.
Ashghal is working around the clock to expedite the implementation of this phase of the C-Ring Road project. Works are taking place seven days a week, with the same number of workers working during daytime and nighttime in order to complete works by the end of December 2014 as scheduled, while all four phases of the C-Ring Road project will be completed in Q2, 2015.
Road Closure and Diversion on the Road Connecting Al Shamal Road with Al Torfa Road Doha, 11 November 2014: As part of the North Road enhancements project works, the Public Works Authority will be closing a road that connects Al Shamal Road with Al Torfa Road as shown in the attached map. The closure will start on Friday 14th of November 2014 and will last for eight months.
During this period, users of Al Shamal Road in both directions heading to Al Duhail area can use Al Duhail Road or Al Ebb Street as alternative roads.
This diversion is being implemented to allow for the completion of the construction of new service roads and Al Duhail Interchange, as part of North Road enhancement project.
