Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 277.03 points (-2.01%) when the bourse closed at 13,489.86 points Thursday.
The traded value however peaked to QR 1.045 Billion from QR 956.778 Million registered Wednesday.
The traded volume today dropped to 18,758,049 shares from 9,699 transactions compared to 25,956,482 shares from 9,002 transactions Wednesday.
The market capitalization today declined to QR 728.269 Billion from QR 741.801 Billion registered Wednesday.
Indices of all sectors ended the day in the red zone with telecommunications index dropping the most by -3.03% to 1,568.07 points followed by industries index, down -2.39% to 4,432.84 points.
From the 43 listed companies, 33 went down, seven gained, two remained unchanged while one company’s shares were not traded.
All banks and financial companies took a beating today, except Islamic Holding which continued its upward trend, jumping +3.42% further from its gain of +4.13% on Wednesday to close at QR 151.40, up by QR 5.00 today.
Qatar National Bank (QNB) share declined -1.24% when it closed at QR 214.30.
From telecoms, Ooredoo share dipped -3.44% when it closed at QR 123.50 while Vodafone Qatar lost -1.90% when it closed at QR 20.70.
Barwa Real Estate gained +2.63% (QR 42.95) today.
