The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, Shurooq, has successfully concluded its participation in Cityscape Global 2014, the region’s leading property event, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 21st-23rd September.
Shurooq’s stand attracted a high level of interest and widespread acclaim from numerous dignitaries and VIP’s, including Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, and Shaikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as a number of investors and visitors interested in the real estate industry.
Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, COO of Shurooq, said, “As one of the region’s premier real estate events, Cityscape Global offered us an ideal platform to network and forge partnerships with key industry players, as well as to showcase our rich portfolio of mixed-use master planned development projects and eco-friendly initiatives designed to preserve the natural environment.” In keeping up with its outreach strategy and its ongoing efforts to make the most of all domestic and foreign B2B events, Shurooq conducted a series of high-level meetings with government officials and business leaders, as well as representatives of real estate agencies and investors from a number of participating countries, to discuss the available investment opportunities in Sharjah and familiarize potential investors with the competitive facilities and incentives made available to foreign investors by Sharjah’s government.
Elaborating on these B2B meetings, Shurooq’s COO said, “We highlighted the emirate’s efforts to attract investors through its competitive facilities and incentives across different economic sectors, with the aim of accelerating the process of economic diversification, and with an emphasis on Sharjah as the most diversified economy in the region.” Al Qaseer said that Shurooq made use of this excellent networking platform to showcase a number of the Authority’s landmark development projects, including Al Jabal Resort – The Chedi Khorfakkan, Sir Bu Nuair Island, and Al Bait Hotel in Heart of Sharjah, among other leading projects that have contributed significantly to boosting the emirate’s growth and attracting more investment.
Shurooq’s COO emphasised that each of these projects have been carefully designed to stimulate the local economy, while providing foreign investors with unique opportunities to capitalise on the emirate’s exceptional growth.
